After studying Film at San Jose State University in the late 80‘s Scott produced and directed corporate marketing and training films for various clients including Sony and Unisys. Several years later Scott honed his digital media expertise working for Apple Computer where he produced multimedia marketing and training materials. After Apple he managed a portfolio of 3D animation products for Metacreations including the Macworld Eddy award winner KPT Bryce. Later Scott helped launch Viewpoint where during his tenure as Vice President of Product Management Viewpoint’s market penetration grew to surpass Apple’s QuickTime with the help of leading clients America Online, Sony, General Motors, and Hewlett Packard. This was followed by senior roles in several start-ups before he made the transition from technology back to the world of film production, shooting several shorts in the process. He currently runs Six Finger Films in San Francisco with Christopher McGilvray where they write, produce, and direct innovative films of all types.
Christopher McGilvray is an award winning Independent Filmmaker based in San Francisco, CA. He studied film at University of Southern California and Linguistics at University of California at Santa Cruz. After graduating from University, he went to work for a Santa Cruz Based Production Company, Varied Directions, as Personal assistant to Emmy Award Winning Documentary Filmmaker, David Hoffman. Under Hoffman’s guidance, he worked in all aspects of production on a variety of film and multi media projects. The most successful production of his time with Varied Directions was the award winning feature documentary, Sputnik Mania. After leaving Varied Directions he continued to produce, write and direct, award winning short films. His directorial debut, The Silence, played at film festivals across the country and took home best Short Film Editing and Best Western Honors at the Action on Film Festival in 2009. He currently runs Six Finger Films in San Francisco with Scott Krinsky and continues to write, produce, and direct films and films of all shapes and sizes.
